WELCOME MESSAGE
Welcome to a new semester at Brookdale Community College, Computer Science Department!
This term I will be at the main campus in Lincroft primarily, and one day at the Western Monmouth Higher Education Center in Freehold, presenting a total of four sections of this newly revised course.
It is now officially called "INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY", and will cover more topics in different and various ways than its predecessor's titles, which included Computer Literacy, Introduction to Computers, and others.
The course materials; books, files, testing software, etc., are all different from prior versions, so you must acquire the necessary items immediately in order to keep up with the rather demanding syllabus and schedule. They are available in one complete package, including a custom lab manual, only from the college bookstore, and will cost around $100.
Please see the course syllabus and other details, including how to download the necessary OFFICE Files for the course at the BCC website, specifically:
http://brookdalecc.edu
Click on the "Quicklinks" down arrow, then "Academic Departments", "Computer Science", and "COMP-129" in that order.
I look forward to working with you to acquire much knowledge about computers in general; the four major applications of WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and ACCESS; plus Integrated software and blogs, among other things.
Good Luck and Good Learning!
